This is a listing of some of the important things I learned, some of which I wish I would have started earlier in my journey
Hire a Personal Trainer.
Best money spent!
Take pictures every 3 months….front back and side. Wear the same clothes
Find a workout buddy; someone who is on a similar journey. Schedule workouts together
Find a free app and beginning logging every bite and every sip. I use an app called “Lose It”
Drink your water. Recommended amount is half your body weight in ounces
Embrace being sore from your workouts. So many people are unable to physically go to the gym to workout. Count your blessings that you can!
Determine how fast you want to lose weight. I recommend about 1.5 pounds a week. Determine how many calories you need to lose at that rate. Eat within your calorie deficit
Don’t spend a lot of money on clothes during your weight-loss. I love Amazon Essentials
Get some form of exercise 5-6 days a week. I work with my trainer 2x/week, attend group fitness classes 2x/week, schedule workouts with my “gym buddy” 2x/week.
Take Creatine
Eat your protein! Women need .8g protein for every pound of ideal body weight
Once they no longer fit, get rid of your “fat clothes”. I moved mine to a separate closet, then invited friends who were going through a similar journey to come go “shopping” in that closet. I was glad to help them on their journey
